New RECOMMENDED READING:
  • (1) Healing yourself the cosmic way, based on the I Ching - Anthony/Moog
  • (2) The I Ching, The Oracle of the Cosmic Way
  • (3) The Psyche Revealed Through the I Ching by Carol K. Anthony and Hanna Moog new

Both superb and life changing. Both books create a new healing paradigm
that changes how we see disease and healing giving us detailed steps to follow to change how the body heals and supports itself.

The books also detail how to find, with the help of the Sage and Cosmic Helpers, "sick making thoughts" and "seed phrases" [similar to beliefs] and how to release them.  I have been working with these books for a number of months. This new method of finding and clearing thoughts and beliefs from our past is simple, through and amazingly accurate.  It has helped me find and clear many negative, blocking thoughts and beliefs that I had totally forgotten but were still effecting my life today. I highly recomed it.

The I CHING, book of changes

It exists in many, many English translations. It is used for guidance, inspiration, decision making, learning enlightenment, and deviation.

The I Ching or "book of changes" is amazing and it is much more then a  book. It is a teacher, friend, and mirror. Without it life would be much more difficult, decisions would be far less knowledgeable and less predictable.  I see it as messages from the other side, guidance from enlightened masters no longer in a body, and a clear connection to the universe or Divine.

What I can tell you from my personal experience of using it everyday for about 25 years, it works. It has helped me make uncountable decisions, it has showed me many times where the error in my thinking about a current situations was. It has warned me about possible future situations and events and in so doing helped me to avoid them. To say that it has become my life long friend and companion is an understatement. Yes, it is only a book and you will probably never believe how wonderful it is unless you experience it frst hand. No words here will ever truly describe it

Consulting the I CHING

The forwards of most volumes of the I Ching will give you deep insight into how it works, so I will not go into that here.

The I Ching is an oracle or book that you consult by throwing [one method] three pennies six times, which determines which of its 64 chapters you read to get insight about your question. Each volume has the table that you look up the hexagram in that you create wen you throw the coins. It is very simple and looks difficult at first.

Before you throw the coins [below] you must come up with a question. The structure of the question is very important and I will attempt to give you a few brief pointers here. Most volumes have many pages about question structure.

Yes or No questions do not work well.
What will happen if I ______ usually works well.
General guidance for today/now works very well.

Brief explanation of how to throw the coins [consult the I Ching] and determine which hexagram to read.

1.Tails represent the number 3 and heads represent the number 2

2. on a piece of paper number from 6 down to one and write your question at the top of the page.

6.
5.
4
3
2
1

3. Drop the 3 pennies on the table after shaking them in our cupped hands.

4. Count up the total number [ ex. 2 heads (2 x 2=4) plus 1 tail ( 3) equals 7]

LINE LOOKUP TABLE

6 is a broken moving* line
7 is a solid line
8 is a broken line
9 is a solid moving* line

5. Look up the number, the coins on the table are showing [ex: 3 heads is a 9 or solid moving* line]

6. Write the number on the first or bottom line of the 6 lines on the paper and if it is a moving line put an * after it or on the end of the line.

7. Cup the coins in your hand again and let them fall on the table after shaking them a bit.

8. Repeat step 3 through 6 above filling in the lines from bottom to top of the little chart you are making on your paper.

9. Now you have a completed hexagram or 6 line picture.

10. Now you must have one of the I Ching books with the "look up" table in it. For beginners I recommend Carol Anthony's Guide to the I Ching and Secrets of the I Ching by Murphy.

11. Open the book to the "look up" table and on the left side of the chart find the 3 bottom lines you have drawn on your chart. Then find the three top lines on the top of the chart and where those two columns intersect that is the number of your (first) hexagram.

12. Then you open the book to that hexagram and read the text up to "THE LINES" with your question in the back of your mind. If it doesn't seem to make any sense to you sit for a few minutes and try and clear you thinking mind, just coast for a few minutes. Allow the insight to kind of float in, intuitively.

13. Ok next if you have any moving lines * pay attention to only the top most one. Lets say you have a moving line 2nd form the top or the 5th line. That means you then go to the fifth line under THE LINES SECTION of the hexagram you threw and read it. You don't read any other lines and many book differ on which moving line to use if their is more then one. The moving line will very often answer your question directly and it was written 2000+ years ago. [Sometimes the answer is so direct it makes my mouth drop open and this is after using it for 25 years].

14. The hexagram you have just processed is referred to as the current or present hexagram. If you have any moving lines you can then create a 'future' hexagram. Again, it sounds complicated but once you do it you will see how simple it is. Start by writing another set of 6 numbers to the right of the 6 you already have on your paper. The opposite of a broken line is a solid line, there are only two kinds of lines. First copy all of the non-moving [no * ] lines from the left to the new right hexagram. Then if you have any moving lines [ex: 9 is a solid line in the sixth place] they become their opposites in the new hexagram. [ex: the solid line in the sixth place become a broken line in the new or future hexagram.

15. Now you have what is often referred to as the outcome or result hexagram. But this is the result ONLY if you do what the first or current hexagram advised you to do.

16. Now repeat steps 10 through 12. And you do not ever read any moving lines in the future hexagram, because they have already moved.

17. You are basically done. But there is one more advanced step if you care to try it. If you are not sure what area of your life the first or second hexagram is referring to try this. Lets designate heads as yes and tail as no for this exercise. Now on your paper write "is hexagram ?? referring to my relationship?" and throw the coins and see what you get. [ex: y,y,n or 2 heads and a tail] All yes or no is pretty obvious, then you have maybe yes or maybe now... etc. If you got no's then as again this time for a different area of your life, until you get some yes's. Sometimes I keep refining the question till get all y,y,y. It is time consuming but some of the answers are astounding.

Good Luck. The I Ching is great advice, and great advice is hard to come by in my experience.

As a final note: Try several I Ching translations until you find one that speaks your language. But be warned they are some bogus versions out their. So if it doesn't seem to work for you, change versions.

Some Quotes from the I Ching

...whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark11:23)

If there be a montian of fear, remorse, debt, or hurtful habits or ill health, realize every problem is Divinely outmatched.  As you grapple with it courageously with faith adn confidence in the Omnipotence of God, you will overcome the mountian (obstacle) and it will disappear and be cast into oblivion.  You will experience a DIVINE SOLUTION.

"... and a house divided against a house falleth. (Luke 11:17)

This house is your mind, and when there  is conflict in your mind it is unwise to undertake any new venture.  Remain still and quite, contemplate the peace of God and the harmony of God in your mind, body and worldly circmstances; and gradually you will get into a balanced state of mind.  Place your trust in God’s Guidance.

When your heart is full of peace, you will have all the money you need and will spend it freely, knowing the Source is eternal.    True peace of mind brings about a regeneration, enabling you to lead a full and  happy life.  Avoid extremes of all kinds, and experience the peace that passeth understanding.

N o t e · The spine is the medium between psychological stress and the tension in the body. If the spine is totally at rest, the body is totally relaxed. If the spine is totally at rest, it indicates that the mind has overcome that first and primal psychological stress, the illusion of ego, that fosters man's characteristic alienation from the world around him.
